Self-acceptance (Are you "self accepting"?)

What are the secrets of self-acceptance?
Nurture yourself....take care of your mental, physical & spiritual self.
(From the "Inside Out"!!!)
Try something you've always wanted to do, take risks, don't be complacent...
(Excerpts from "Strong Women Stay Young" by Miraim Nelson, Ph.D.)
I have the book if anyone wants to borrow it!

I wouldn't be fat if I was self-accepting. I guess you'll have to loan me that book.

My opinion is, you don't have to be thin to be self-accepting. There are many people I have met through life that are by far thin, but they are happy AND healthy. Unfortunately our world is loaded with "those images" of unrealistic women. We need to be heart healthy, happy, and in tune to our bodies and our mind! Sometimes it can be hard, but surround yourself with positive people, and you will find more positive vibes in your life! And here's my "lecture" for the day for you - no negative self talk....you're just like my sister! LOL! You are a beautiful funny lady - remember that! :)

My shrink says that it is more important to me for people to think of me as 'smart' rather than 'beautiful'. During my career, I have dealt with mostly men. I don't think they would have any respect for me if I wasn't smart or good at my job. Although a set of "DD's" might get them to do more! I know I'm a good person and that makes me beautiful! I just want the outside to match the inside.

Why can't we beautiful AND smart?
:) :) :) To me beautiful is not just the outward appearance. When people see people for who they are,not for how they look, they become beautiful no matter what their outward appearance.....does that make sense? :)
