So Saturday I was feeling pretty good. Did 6 miles rulking, 3 to 1 ratio. The longer I run continuosly, the more humble I become. I figure for a middle aged woman I am in pretty good shape comparatively speaking (even to some mid twenty year olds!) but this has DEFINATELY humbled me! It was a hard run on Saturday, but I felt pretty good when I finished. My left ankle was feeling a little sore while running, but I figure it was because of adding another minute. May ankle was still sore at home, so I put on my "comfy sandals" for the day. I was walking through my kitchen and I slipped on some water on the floor. As gracefully as I could I stuck my other foot out (toe down, like a ballerina - not sure why though!) and now my right big toe is totally black and blue. Of course I also tried to stabalize with my already sore ankle. So guess what? It's Sunday morning and my ankle is still not right...might be a tendon or something. I'll be going to the doc tomorrow to check it out. I am not real happy about this, but I guess I will pick up when I can. Sticking to my own saying of "Never Stop Starting! Right???
I feel like "Debbie Downer"!! LOL! It's frustrating even though I know I will be fine and back on track soon. I guess this is the ups and downs that come with training for something your body is not used to!
That's the update for now. I promise the next blog will have a more positive spin to it!! Thanks for "listening"! :)
